Are you raising, caring for, or supporting a Black child and looking for deeper understanding, tools, and community?
Are you a caregiver who wants to support your child who is not Black to be more sensitive and equitable in how they interact with Black children?
The Journey to Nia Foundational Workshop Series was created to help families better understand anti-Black racism in early childhood and learn how to intentionally center Black joy, healing, and thriving.
This two-part workshop experience is designed for families, caregivers, adoptive parents of all races, and anyone committed to creating affirming environments for Black children.
Through guided conversations, reflection, and practical strategies, participants will explore:
• How anti-Black racism impacts Black children in their earliest years
• Ways to create more supportive and affirming home environments
• Tools for advocacy, communication, and culturally responsive care
• Practices rooted in joy, healing, hope, and community
• Workshop 1: In Person (2 hours)
Hosted at a location in Brooklyn, NY
Exact location details will be shared after registration.
• Workshop 2: Virtual (90 minutes)
