Every day ending in "Y" is a day to celebrate Black everything! New Journey to Nia workshops loading...

As we slide out of the “Black” Friday/Cyber Monday, etc season…Over here at Anahsa, there's no need to worry about boycotting, or figuring out who to buy from on "Black Friday", 'cause I'm a Black woman who runs this business, and creates transformative learning experiences 24/7/365. So although I'm writing this email within the "Black Friday/CyberMonday/Giving Tuesday" time frame, you can feel good about supporting my work always!

I am excited to share a new offering focused on the award-winning Journey to Nia™ curriculum that I have created and shared with early childhood folks and caregivers across the United States.

The mission of Journey to Nia™ is to center Black joy, and to eradicate anti-Black racism in early childhood through transformative professional development.

Announcing: A 2 part Journey to Nia Foundations Workshop Series for early childhood educators, professionals, leaders and caregivers:

The Journey to Nia Foundations Workshop Series taking place in January 2026 will kick off a new community-building plan for Journey To Nia which will include more workshops, more content, and much, much more!

These workshops will take place over two dates, 90 minutes each, giving you:

  • a wealth of facilitator and community knowledge

  • lots of resources

  • worksheets to help you assess and plan for Black children's thriving

  • unwavering support

  • a lot of self-care, and

  • access to the recordings of the workshops

I want to make sure you start 2026 with your mind and spirit right, and ready to create a

joyful and liberated world for Black children.

Are you ready? Registrations are open on the Anahsa website!

There are two rates: one for individuals/sponsors*, and one for organizations (to register 3 staff per registration).

*NOTE: Regarding sponsors, or "a word on reparations": If you are a person who identifies as white, please consider sponsoring an indivdual to register for this workshop series. If you are white, and aren't sure why reparations makes sense historically, economically, and morally, sign yourself up, AND sponsor someone else's registration, too.

I promise, it will begin to make sense after you're done with this workshop series.

Black children need to experience home, care, and education settings that are joyful, culturally and racially responsive, and free from anti-Black racism.

How can we create these experiences for them if we aren't even sure of what these things are, and how we can create healthy and affirming environments for Black children?

Let's learn together, and support each other in growing our minds and our practices- for Black children.

Feel free to respond to this email with any questions, or to let us know: "I'm in!"
